Setup Guide

Follow these steps to connect your Node-RED with Alexa using DuloNode.

Create an account:

Sign Up with your email address

Install Alexa Skill:

  1. 1Open the Alexa app
  2. 2Go to More → Skills & Games
  3. 3Search for "DuloNode"
  4. 4Tap "Enable to Use"
  5. 5Log in with your DuloNode email and password to link your account

The skill is available in the Amazon Skill Stores for: English (AU), English (CA), English (GB), English (IN), English (US), French (FR), German (DE), Italian (IT), Portuguese (BR), Spanish (ES)

Home Assistant Setup:

Skip this step if you already have the Node-RED add-on installed

  1. 1Open Home Assistant Settings
  2. 2Go to Settings → Add-ons → Add-on Store
  3. 3Search for "Node-RED"
  4. 4Install and start the add-on

Node-RED Setup:

  1. 1Install node-red-contrib-dulonode module
  2. 2Download and import the Basic Flow
  3. 3Open the Hub node settings and log in with your DuloNode account
  4. 4Deploy the flow

Devices Synced:

Once you deploy in Node-RED, your devices are synced to Alexa automatically and show up in the Alexa app within seconds.

If a device doesn't appear, you can also trigger a manual scan:

Alexa, discover devices.

Congratulations!

That's it! You can now control your devices using Alexa voice commands.
